C T Ravi has chosen this field with full responsibility and understanding. C.T. Ravi

Member of Legislative Assembly, Chikkamagaluru

Born in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, in a middle class family with no political background, C T Ravi had a simple, modest and righteous upbringing. At high school, he became involved in the Raitha Sangha Movement in Aldoor Hobli in Chikkamagaluru. This laid the foundation for his active participation in Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad during his college days. As College Representative, and leader of the Kannada Sangha and Vidyarthi Sangha, C T Ravi honed his organisational skills and leadership quality. It was during this phase of life that he dedicated himself fully to the mission of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS).

Major Concerns

  • Health and Sanitation

    No longer restricted to being seen as an isolated problem for rural development ministries, the issue of sanitation in our society is one of the chief areas C T Ravi has developed an interest in.

  • Water and Agriculture

    C T Ravi is planning a state-wide drive to make a detailed assessment of the situation of water availability for drinking, irrigation and power generation. His team is gearing up to work on a comprehensive long-term solution that would address the recurring problems related to water in Karnataka.

  • Education and Employment

    C T Ravi advocates skill-based education, asserting that India has been, is, and will remain, a nation of knowledge. According to him, our country is capable of producing the brightest minds in the world.

  • Rural Development

    C T Ravi is all set for an era of change and development. He believes that mere introduction of reforms and allocation of funds do not help in uplifting a rural community.
